Business Development
- Assist retail operators develop/expand their relationships with institutional players such as Nuveen, JP Morgan, Heitman, Clarion, Invesco, USAA, Principal and others.
- Provide firms with advice on how to construct a portfolio of assets that will produce returns matching institutional investors' expectations.
- Help craft marketing materials that will appeal to institutional investors.
- Assist technology firms in selling their products to retail real estate owners/operators.
Execution Support on Mall Re-Development Projects
- Act as an Owner’ Representative for financial institutions in overseeing the activities of retail operators or service providers -- or, in some instances, execute on their behalf.
- Identify, recommend and coordinate third party resources (e.g. land use counsel, planners, architects, market research, traffic and MEP consultants) to develop a plan and pursue entitlements.
- Evaluate the reasonableness of the re-development feasibility (NOI and cost).
- Monitor and evaluate the leasing activities of retail operators as well as sign off on the completeness and quality of monthly construction activities.
- Participate in senior level discussions with REITS or operators to reach compromise positions with respect to the development / leasing strategy.
- Represent Ownership in meetings with the municipality during entitlement pursuits
- Identify and screen potential development partners.
- Attend meetings and/ or calls with existing investors or financiers.
